In St. Petersburg, I had found the ideal place to "operate", quiet and with little traffic.
 Military jeeps were parked there with men inside. At one point, two curious people in uniform came to ask me what I was doing. After I explained to them that I was molding manhole covers, they left in silence. I did not know that I was standing in front of the KGB building.
