In the streets of Valencia, a bat is depicted on the manhole covers. Legend has it that before a battle, the king of the province felt a bat pass between the wings of his helmet. He won the victory and decided to make the animal his emblem. In Seville, in the cathedral, the sarcophagus of Christopher Columbus is worn by four characters, on the tunic of one of them is the bat.
